Thanksgiving Boxes 2022

It’s the time of the year again! November is right around the corner and with November comes Thanksgiving. Our very own Graham Memorial Youth Ministry will be partnering, once again, with San Diego Military Outreach Ministries (SDMOM) and with our very own Best PCS Ever! to provide Thanksgiving meals in a box for junior enlisted military families in the greater San Diego area. These boxes are complete Thanksgiving meals for military personnel each screened and selected by SDMOM. We estimate that over the past 20+ years, our partnership with MOM has provided well over 2,600 Thanksgiving meals. 

But we need your help! Our goal this year is to pack 250 boxes to bless these families, and each box is valued at $55, which means we are working to raise over $13,000! If you would like to donate and sponsor a Thanksgiving Box, just keep scrolling! If you would like to help pack the boxes, join us on Tuesday, November 15th at 5:00pm. Every year, our high school and middle school groups tag team to pack and distribute these wonderful boxes the week before Thanksgiving. It's an event full of fun, laughter, and serving!

We will start our evening together at 5:00pm with the middle school students, who will work to sort and stage everything for the boxes. At 6:00pm, we will share dinner together with our high school students, who will then continue on at 7:00pm to pack all 250 boxes! If you wanted to give to this extraordinary ministry but didn’t get a chance, it’s not too late! Every penny we receive will help us offset the cost of the fluctuating cost of food, as well as the supplies and “extras” needed for the packing event itself.
