Parents To-Do List

How to Ensure Your Preschooler's Success

  • Make certain that your child has adequate rest each night.

  • Serve your child a nourishing breakfast.

  • Remove as much stress as possible from morning routines.

  • Say goodbye in an upbeat fashion to reinforce that school is fun.

  • Say, “Tell me about your day,” instead of “What did you do today?”

  • When your child finishes answering, tell him about your own day.

  • Listen to your child. Conversations are special connections.

  • Escort your child to the library, museums & the zoo.

  • Limit television viewing.

  • Share dinner as a family.

  • Allow your child to show you how capable he or she is.

  • Walk more. Look more. Hug more.

  • Read to your child. Read to your child. Read to your child. Lots.

 

Calendar for the 2023/2024 School Year

It is the policy of Graham Memorial Preschool to observe the same school holiday schedule as the Coronado Unified School District. This enables our families with older children to have all of their children on the same holiday schedule.

  • September 5 & 6 Get Acquainted Days

  • September 7 & 8 First days of school!

  • September 29 School closed, Public School Holiday

  • October 9 School closed, Public School Holiday

  • October 12 & 13 Picture Days! School Pictures by John Munns

  • Sunday, Nov. 5 *Preschool Open House, 12:30-2:00*

  • November 10 School closed, Veterans’ Day

  • November 20-24 Thanksgiving Vacation

  • December 20 & 21 *Parent Coffees & Chapel, 8:30 - 9:30

  • December 22-Jan 5 Christmas Vacation

  • January 15 School closed, Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday

  • January 26 School closed, public school day off

  • February 16 Lincoln's Birthday; school closed

  • February 19 Washington's Birthday; school closed

  • March 29-April 5 Spring Break

  • May 9 & 10 *Parent Coffees and Chapels, 8:30 - 9:30

  • May 27 Memorial Day; school closed

  • June 6 & June 7 Last days of school (dismissal at 12:00pm; cake & lemonade)!
