Begun in a small Protestant church in 2000, the selah worship service model combines silent prayer, corporate prayer, simple hymns, and Scripture readings in the Christian Celtic tradition. The word selah likely originated in the Book of Psalms and means “to pause or rest.” The selah service, therefore, encourages worshipers to pause, to kindle a greater trust, and to enjoy the peace in being still before and waiting on the Lord.
Washington musician Jeff Johnson will deliver this extraordinary, once-only Selah Service.
