Graham Memorial Preschool offers a loving and caring Christian environment in which children from age two through four can enhance social skills, creativity, and self-esteem as well as develop skills that promote academic success.
Under the capable direction of Dana Wilcox, a veteran educator with more than 30 years' classroom experience, a staff of 13 highly qualified teachers administer both structured and non-structured curricula in art, imaginative play, motor development, music, pre-math, pre-reading, science, and Spanish-language enrichment.
Monthly chapels offer preschoolers an opportunity to explore God's house as they enter the church sanctuary and listen to explanations that cover various facets of the facility, worship etiquette, and biblical truth. The Reverend Dr. David H. McElrath, who began his ministry as a children's pastor, engages and teaches the children by telling Bible stories and by playing the guitar and leading songs whose lyrics reinforce what it means to be God's children.
Each spring, the school offers parents and guardians of all enrolled preschoolers a four-week parenting series called Developing Capable Young Children. And at the end of the school year each June, the preschool invites all parents to the campus to celebrate achievement and share cake and coffee.
