Calendar Event Description

The Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church Missions Committee schedules a short presentation near the beginning of the worship services once each month. During the year, this rotating cycle theoretically allows12 different church missions an equal opportunity to promote awareness among the church congregation.

The person presenting the minute may be one of the following:

  • a member of the Missions Committee
  • a church member who chairs a mission steering committee
  • a mission staff member or volunteer
  • a recipient of the mission's services

    • And the Minute for Missions may take a variety of forms:

  • verbal
  • slide show projection with verbal accompaniment
  • video / audio recording

    • Although the label Minute for Missions suggests a 60-second limitation, the individual presentations occasionally span a minute or two more if adequate promotion requires.
