A creative and skilled speaker, the Reverend Dr. David H. McElrath developed and personally delivered a series of twelve first-person narrative sermons as part of his doctoral thesis. In each entertaining and very memorable sermon, the pastor assumed the theatrical persona of one biblical character and, from that character’s perspective, conveyed a story from Scripture.
Pastor David began presenting a new first-person narrative sermon at all three worship services on the first Sunday of each month in September 2008 and completed the series in August 2009. Below is the schedule of all twelve first-person narrative sermons.
