San Diego Services We Love to Help

"Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share."
I Timothy 6:18

Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church cares deeply about the local community and actively seeks ways to help neighbors in need. Six San Diego-based organizations, described below, receive our on-going support in volunteer time, talent, and financial contribution. We invite all to join us in discovering how gratifying it is to serve God's people.

Founded during World War II and affectionately known as MOM, this ministry serves all local military branches: Army Reserve, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard, and Navy. Its mission is to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of San Diego-based junior-enlisted (E5 and below) families, typically headed by parents between 18 and 23 years of age, surviving on $1500 gross/month while raising small children. These young families often struggle against debt while coping with the stress of deployment. All services are free of charge. The majority of operations are volunteer-administered.

Services
• weekly food distribution at multiple San Diego locations
• distribution of donated infant and children's supplies
• distribution of household goods and furniture
