Golf4Good began in 2006 as the largest annual fundraising effort to benefit the work of Presbyterian Urban Ministries, a California 501(c)(3) inner-city outreach of the Presbytery of San Diego.
Sea 'n' Air Golf Course, the fourth annual Golf4Good tournament venue, offers panoramic views and the balmy breezes that only an oceanfront property can boast. Part of Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, Sea 'n' Air normally restricts admission to military personnel, their dependents, and guests. The Golf4Good tournament is a rare opportunity for civilians to experience the thrill of playing this premium private golf course. Golf4Good grows in size and popularity each year.

Our Board of Deacons host the family picnic and supply all the food. Guests supply all the appetites. Expect to sample ample portions of barbecued pork and beef brisket, coleslaw, baked beans, and favorite flavors of ice cream.
Younger kids bounce to their hearts' content in an Astro Jump. Older kids and the always-young-at-heart take turns creating unique Spin Art on Frisbees and note cards. The musically inclined often bring their favorite instruments to lead small groups of the family in song. And those with an artistic eye journal the day's events in film, which becomes part of our family album, viewable at our church photo gallery.»
The picnic is free, but the deacons require reservations in order to create an accurate food shopping list. Tickets costs nothing but the time it takes to make a few clicks. Get picnic tickets»

Every Sunday afternoon, Ladle Fellowship serves up gospel music, a Bible message, and hot, nutritious meals to about 250 needy San Diegans. Recipients who also require change of clothing and hygiene items find them here.

Triannual Event . Tuesday, September 21
Coronado Coffee offers events three times a year to give believers an opportunity to invite non-believers to neutral ground to hear life-changing messages. A cup of coffee truly can change a life . . . one that might belong to someone you invite.
The September 21 event wil feature San Diego news anchor Bill Griffith. Since arriving in town at the age of 27, Bill has been a 10News weekend anchor, sports director, talk show host, magazine show host, and since 1996, the co-anchor of 10News Live at 5am, 6am, and 11am. He earned the Drew Silvern Award in 2004 for reporting on his six-month battle with male breast cancer—an extremely rare disease in men, and one which is often fatal. Bill took 10News viewers, and those who visited his site on 10News.com, on his deeply personal journey through diagnosis, surgery and chemotherapy. His message is moving and equally so for both men and women.

See You at the Pole is an annual group-prayer event that connects high schools to other believers, to other high school campuses, and to God. Gathering at campus flag poles, teachers, administrators, and students pray as a corporate body for 20 minutes, beginning at 7:00am on the fourth Wednesday in September.
High school students initiate, organize, and lead the annual See You at the Pole event, which is not a demonstration, a political rally, or a stand for or against anything. See You at the Pole is all about bringing together people and laying aside labels in order to unify in Christian spirit.
Begun by a small group of Burleson, Texas teenagers in 1990, See You at the Pole has grown to God-sized proportions, now including more than three million participants from all 50 United States and 20 other countries.

Monthly Event . Monday, September 27
Evening Circle. A sewing group? Nah. A quilting group? No way. A weight-loss support group? Not on your life! Evening Circle is a fellowship of Christian women who gather to support one another in love and kindness, and to praise, worship, honor, and learn more about God and the precious gift of his son Jesus Christ.
The group meets the last Monday of each month September through June, usually in Parish Hall. The designated hostess for the month brings salad greens and salad dressings. All the other members bring a beverage of choice and something to add to the community salad. The group dines for the first half hour then engages in an hour of conversation prompted by the previous month’s reading. At the end of the evening, members head for their respective homes and family responsibilities feeling renewed, refreshed, and rejoicing that they had a special fellowship together. Doesn’t Evening Circle sound like your kind of group?
The Evening Circle is beginning a new inspirational book entitled Transforming Grace: Living Confidently in God's Unfailing Love by Jerry Bridges during the 2010–11 season.
Transforming Grace: Living Confidently in God's Unfailing Love attempts to help readers find a biblical basis for understanding their individual pursuit of holiness. In particular, the book tries to explore our role versus God's role then expands exploration beyond what we should be doing to what our approach and attitude should be in order for our efforts to be effective. This is a difficult area. Teachings on personal holiness range from a God-is-in-control-so-don't-worry-about-your-own-conduct approach to a legalistic rules-and-regulations approach that leaves holiness entirely up to the individual. Bridges spurns both approaches in favor of a balanced approach that seems very biblically responsible. That approach? That God, indeed, is in control, and that His grace is the ingredient that empowers our efforts to become more holy.

Weekly Event . Tuesdays
Many sixteenth-century cathedrals had tower bells, some as many as six, to ring in different sequences to signal times of day or the starting of events. To provide convenient practice for those responsible for ringing the patterns—called bell changes—churches employed use of small hand-held bells.
So successful was this method and so pleasing to the ear was the music produced during these hand-bell practice sessions that someone, unrecorded by history, decided to tune the handbells to the musical scale. Thus was the birth of handbell choirs that toured throughout Europe in the 1500s.
Although the single bell in the Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church belfry doesn't require bell change practice, we have a beautiful set of handbells and a talented group of players who confess to having a ball ringing bells to glorify God during special worship services each year.
Sit in on any rehearsal session. We're pretty certain you won't be able to resist chiming in!

13-Week Event . Tuesdays . Beginning September 14
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world: only nine percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. Today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. We don't experience a personal sense of significance, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy, and we begin to wonder about life's ultimate purpose. In short, we are losing our bearings as a people and a nation.
To counter this slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family launched one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history of its ministry—The Truth Project—a DVD-based small-group curriculum comprised of 12 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home-study series looks at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson reveals in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview daily.
Since The Truth Project opened to our congregation in the fall of 2008, more than 120 teens and adults have completed the training. A perpetual waiting list accepts names of people who want to join future Truth Project groups, scheduled around the needs of as many as 15 people per group.
